Tea-pots
The tea-pot becomes a bit of a theme when you drink tea all day.
A garden is for drinking tea in.
Some teapots get broken and then they have to retire in the garden.
Thankyou to all the people who have given me tea-pots.

Paths
The crunchy path made of broken tiles
edged with bricks and borders of succulents.
Mosaic down the side of the house.
Paver paths set in gravel.
The 4oth Birthday mosaic path.
I had this idea that people could construct the mosaic at the party, but most people were more interested in eating, drinking and talking. The path is over ten metres long and is made from bricks and concrete.

Ceramic Plaques
Three paintings about Alice on ceramic plaques.
Underglazes and bisque fired.
A little bit of kitchen on the fence.
Two owls in a frame.
Earthenware with coloured slips.
A heart shape in a frame.
Stoneware, glazed.
Garden Areas
This is a very dense green area, of wattle sapplings, cherry plums and artemesia and a ground carpet of Neptemia.
At the farthest end of the garden is a crunching path of broken tiles. It makes a sound when you walk on it, like a shell covered beach. Some people don't like the sound because it is the sound of broken tiles and crockery - and they refuse to walk on it!
These are the princess seats. They have never been used by princesses though. In thailand we found some princess seats, They are cylindrical seats made of clay and at the bottom there is a hole where a little fire was made inside the seat to warm it for the princess. I did not put the little hollow for the fire. But if Princess Mary comes to visit and she gives me enough notice, we will make one for her to sit on.
This is a close up of the cactus/succulent garden with its little sculptures on a rock ( compliments of Lil)
Babushka Sculptures
The Babushkas were a bit inspired by this guy called Nek Chand in India. He makes about fifty of each type of sculpture and puts it in the garden en masse. But before I reached fifty, my mind went somewhere else. So there are only a few of them. It is nice though, to have some little mothers congregating around the garden.
This one is on a pot and in front of it were some cabbage moths, fluttering in the lavender.
This one is on a ceramic pipe and a pile of saucers.
If you get sick of doing the washing up, try sitting on it.
These ladies are on a mirror, so they can always see their reflections.
Pavers in the garden
Here are some pavers.
I usually use some hand-made tiles for features and then broken tiles around them.
Memory Garden
This garden was constructed in memory of my Aunt. It is a garden of little birds.
There are little bits and pieces hanging to decorate the chapel.
Three birds in a nest.
Thankyou to Coral for making one of the birds.
I have to replenish the nest for them, so I fill it with Neptemia.
This is the chapel I constructed for the memory garden. It is made of branches and stakes. It has some rose bushes that grow amidst it and some tansy and yellow Irises. The red Roses and Yellow Irises bloom together once a year.
The chapel needs to be patched with new branches each year, so it is always growing.
Animals in the garden
